Monster has launched the beta testing stage of Monster Studios which is a new way of engaging with candidates.
Monster Studios is an App that allows you to add a video to your jobs and make your adverts come alive. The app is currently in its beta testing stage allowing a small number of Monster customers to try out the new technology and provide feedback to enhance the product before its release.
Being able to add a unique video to each job advert will allow recruiters the opportunity to humanise their adverts and give candidates a more authentic insight into the job and the company.
At Candidate Source, we have been fortunate enough to be part of this testing. So far from what we have seen the technology is simple to use and if you use a tripod with your phone this eliminates any movement and shakes.
The app allows you to quickly and easily record, edit and upload the videos to your live job adverts on Monster.
There are position guides that make sure you are camera ready and once you have recorded your video, the editing tools allow you to trim and splice the video, add text and image overlays, company logo, title and a cover image making your videos look professional and in keeping with your company brand and image.
It will be interesting to see how this extra dimension will affect the way job seekers search for jobs and what impact this will have on the candidate attraction to the adverts on Monster.
The app is currently available on iOS phones, but we understand that it will later be released on Android also.
